September 4, 1903 Apricot school, with Mrs. L. H. Gregory as teacher, will open next Monday. Wolfskill district school. Miss Blanche McNeal, teacher, will open Monday September 7. Mrs. H. Kettenberg and children have returned from a visit with relatives in Colusa county. Miss Lulu Wyatt has gone to Dixon to substitute for the assistant postmistress during the latter’s vacation. A box of grapes, “compliments of Mr. and Mrs. James Chapman, Rosedale Farm,” was laid on our table Monday. They were handsome enough for display at the fair, and they were just as good as they looked. At Tuesday night’s meeting of the town board of trustees, an ordinance prepared by Town Attorney Bruton prohibiting the keeping of breeding animals in the town was introduced. A.P. Pleasants brought a watermelon to town yesterday that weighed 75 1/2 pounds. It will be sent to the State fair. Union district school, with Mrs. Lamme as teacher, and Buckeye district school, F. C. Hemenway teacher, opened Monday. ]]>
