August 21, 1903 Whitney Humphrey and Mae Baker went to Sacramento last Friday, and were married in the parlors of the Western hotel Arthur Cooper and Mazie Nathan accompanied them. A. N. Babcock, H. H. Gunter, J. W. Harris, L. C. Wilcox, F. McNeal and I. O. Jacks went to the city Monday to represent the G. A. R. of this section at the encampment. Mrs. Cadwallader “left for Fall River Mills, Shasta county, Monday morning to visit relatives. She will be gone two or three weeks. Born in Alameda, August 15, 1903, to the wife of Ansel Pleasants, a daughter. W. D. Snodgrass and family are taking a summer outing at Priest’s springs. T. D. Parker and family have gone to Cobb Mountain for a short vacation. Beau Humphrey went to Lodi Monday to work for the Producers Fruit Company. The Winters Cornet Band went to San Francisco Monday to play at the G. A. R. encampment. The grammar school trustees have assigned the teachers to their grades as follows: T. J. Crane, eighth and ninth; Miss Brokaw, sixth and seventh; Miss Perry, fourth and fifth; Miss Cooper, high second and third; Miss Pearse, first and low second.]]>
