July 24, 1903 The trustees of Apricot School District have determined to build a new school house. An election will be held to vote bonds in the amount of $2000 to erect and furnish the building. Miss F. M. Preble who has been the guest of Mrs. Sinclair this week, left Sunday for Oakland. Theodore Schmeiser has gone to the State of Wash ington to be absent the rest of the summer. Maurice Nathan went over to Sacramento Monday where he was joined by Mrs. Nathan and they were quietly married. Rabbi Bernard Kaplen performed the ceremony. The Express joins in sincere congratulations to the reunited couple. The public school will open September 7. The school board reorganized Thursday, and reelected W. P. Fassett clerk. Mr. and Mrs. G. T. Meeker and daughter Ethel, went to Santa Cruz Monday to attend the annual convention of the Christian churches of California. R. E. Baker and family and Dr. S. K. Baker and family and Everett Fenley went to Big Meadows the first of the week for an outing. Chief bridge constructor Comstock is here with a crew of men putting a new floor on Putah bridge. ]]>
