September 25, 1903 Frank Ish and wife, of Tonapah, Nevada, arrived. this week from the south and are the guests of A. B. Ish. Mr. and Mrs. Shattuck have taken charge of the Winters hotel dining room and kitchen. Miss Josie Morrison has gone to San Jose to take a course in the Normal School. Henry and William Brinck went to San Francisco Wednesday on a business errand. Heavy fires are raging in the brush and timber in Coto tonwood canyon on the G. W. Scott ranch north of town. Miss Alice Chadwick has returned from San Francisco where she spent some three weeks preparing for the fall millinery trade. J. B. Ruggles was seriously injured the other day by be ing thrown to the ground from a load of hay. He is still confined to his home. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Sackett and B. R. Sackett have been in the city for a week. Mr. and Mrs. R. Morrison and Mrs. A. L. Stinson left this morning for St. Helena where the ladies will remain for a few weeks at the Sanitarium.]]>
