2018 Elder Day celebration

Support Local Journalism

Every year the Elder Day Council celebrates older adults that reside in the City of Winters, applauding them publicly and hosting them and their families at the festive Elder Day reception. It’s absolutely amazing to hear their stories and to see a glimpse of history as they tell their stories. One honoree recounted that as a young girl she was a tomboy, and, according to her, at 96-years young, she still is. So many wonderful stories to share.

Saturday, June 2, 2018, is set aside this year to give community appreciation to our parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents by showing them our sincere affection and gratitude where the entire City of Winters community will celebrate the people being highlighted that day.

The public acknowledgement is for their personal contribution to families, friends, and community.

Please mark your calendars and plan on attending this wonderful Elder Day festivity on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the St. Anthony’s Parrish Hall located at 511 Main Street here in Winters. Come and watch history being made in the City of Winters.

Everyone, all of our families and friends, are welcome.
