August 22, 1968 The Winters School Board at its meeting Monday night voted to seek a new site for a sixth, seventh and eighth grade school so that the Waggoner site can be used as an intermediate grade school. Winters schools will start on August 26, the first in Yolo County to open the doors for the fall term. Approximately 1230 students are expected to be in attendence. Bill Waroff, Federal Programs Director for the Winters and Esparto School Districts has resigned to accept a position as Director of Migrant Education in the Sacramento Valley. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rojo are the parents of a daughter, Annette Louise, born August 3, 1968 in the Davis Community Hospital. Maternal grandparents are Mrs. Irene Holman and Kal Holman, paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Dick Rojo, all of Winters. Local 4-H members who will attend camp at Woodchuck Flat near Cisco Grove from August 23 to 25 are Lori Rainwater, Rene Mayes, Glenda Tucker and Catherine Swain. Mr. and Mrs. William G. Brinck, Sr., Mrs. William Brinck, Jr., her four children and Sue Reimers spents last week vacationing at Bijou in the Lake Tahoe area. A home wedding was the choice of Gayle Helene Andersen and Harry Lee Carlson when they exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, August 17, in the presence of 45 guests at the Golden Bear Estates home of the bride’s parents.]]>
