June 27, 1968 The new Yolo County Road 93-A, which connects County Roads 31 and 32. will dedicated at 2 p.m. Monday by county officials and representatives of Chambers of Commerce and other agencies.

Rich Chiles signed a contract with the Houston Astros last week during a meeting in the Chiles’ home with Houston Scout Ray Coley.

Union School will be closed as an attendance center for the Winters High School District this fall because the structural engineer who examined the structure on May 27, has stated that it is unsafe for occupancy.

A total of 62 apartments and homes in the Winters area were vacant during April, according to the Pacific Gas and Electric Company.

Carl E. Larson of Winters and John P. McMahon of Davis were among the eight persons who passed a special qualifying examination given on June 15 for prospective justice court judges, it was announced Friday by the state judicial court.

A/1c Wally Clark is now serving in Pleiku, Vietnam, with the 633rd Combat Supply Group.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Donaldson are the parents of a daughter, April Lynn, born May 15, 1968 in the Davis Community Hospital.
