June 26, 1953 Lt. Jack Graf and Mrs. Graf arrived Sunday from Fort Sill, Oklahoma and are visiting with the C. A. Grafs and S.C. Potters.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Layne (Laura Frisbee) of Palo Alto, are the parents of a son, born at Palo Alto, June 23, 1953.

Bill Duncan was elected commander of the Winters American Legion Post, No. 242, at the annual election of officers held Tuesday night.

Five canneries have contracted for the bulk of the apricot crop. Fruit available for the canners is estimated at between 3,500 and 4,000 tons.

Mr. and Mrs. Kimbrough Bowman have arrived from their home at Dutch Flat to spend the summer on the Henry Bowman estate in the Wolfskill District.

Mrs. Ray Miller is attending summer session classes at the Sacramento State College in Sacramento.

Mr. and Mrs. George Crum and sons, Donnie and Dickie, expect to leave on Monday, July 16, for the Crum summer home at Lake Tahoe, there to spend a week or so.

Miss Joyce Dotson will become the bride of a William S. Waroff of Seattle at a ceremony planned for Sunday, June 28, in the First Christian Church.

On Wednesday evening of last week little Miss Vicky Martino was feted on the occasion of her fourth birthday anniversary, when her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Martino served birthday cake and ice cream.

Mrs. Joe Molina and daughter, Isabelle, of Napa visited Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. John F. Molina.
