October 8, 1953 The Winters High School football team defeated Vacaville last Friday afternoon by a score of 38 to 0. Sam Biasi tallied two touchdowns and Dick Rojo, Bill Biasi, Mack Cody and Manuel Martinez one each. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Rominger of Winters, are the parents of a daughter, born at the Woodland Clinic Hospital September 30, 1953 Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Gale have received word that their son, Petty Officer 3/c Eugene Gale, stationed at the Naval Air Force Base at Kodiac, will be home early November. He will be discharged from the service after three years of duty Tom Stowers has been named as general chairman of the 1954 Winters Youth Day, succeeding Phil Latona, who resigned because of ill health. A/2c Herman R. Campos, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Campos, Sr., of Winters, has just come back from Iceland where he was an air policeman for the 1400th Air Police Squadron. Ronnie Ramos, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Ramos, observed his sixth birthday Monday with a Hallowe’en birthday party on his front lawn. Mr. Dudley Reid will give a talk on a recent six weeks trip onto old Mexico at the meeting of the Fortnightly Club Tuesday afternoon. He will be introduced by Mrs. Fred T. Roseberry, program chairman Mrs. Gertrude Wyatt, who has been enjoying a week’s vacation from her duties at Greenwood’s Department Store, planned to spend a few days of the time in San Francisco.]]>
