October 14, 1938 A delegation of local citizens, composed of Charles Graf. W. W. Stark, J. H. D. Bassett, L. L. Stith, W. O. Russell, R. W. Rice and R. E. Degener met with the State Highway Commission last Friday to push for the Vaca-Winters-Dunnigan road. Chief Red Horse, Cherokee Indian and Townsedite enthusiast was a guest of the local club at their meeting Tuesday evening. Rev. Eustace Anderson is expecting to leave Tuesday morning to be in attendance a the annual state conference of the Methodist churches that will assemble in Santa Ana. I. B. Griffin, B. F. Chadwick and J. W. Humphrey enjoyed a hunting trip in northern counties this week. Mrs. Elmer Bogart of Tulare visited last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Sale. Mrs. Gertrude Wyatt served a few days this week on the rural mail route because of the absence of Tom Fox. Bernard Walters, employee of the P. G. & E. in Vacaville, is spending his vacation assisting in Vasey Bros. store during the vacation of Harry Sattazahn, who is having a hunting trip to Modoc county.]]>
