A heartfelt ‘thank you’

Support Local Journalism

Winters Friends of the Library (WFoL) would like to express our gratitude to the Winters community for all of your support on Big Day of Giving this year. Our cup is indeed full and plentiful. We set out to raise $20,000 to provide library support and programs to our community, and we raised a little over $30,000 thanks to your generosity.

Thank you to the Winters Express for helping us to spread information through coverage. Thank you to the Berryessa Gap for allowing us to utilize the downtown tasting room as our Big Day of Giving headquarters and donating 10 percent of your proceeds on May 3. Thank you to First Northern Bank, Yolo Federal Credit Union, Waste Management and everyone else who gave matching gifts. Thank you to our community partners, Eagle Drug, Preserve Public House, Winters Healthcare and Anytime Fitness for your donations to our gift basket.

We send a heartfelt “Thank You” to everyone who donated to us on Big Day of Giving. We are so thankful to be part of such a supportive and uplifting community. Your support will help us to carry out our mission to offer lifelong learning opportunities through programs and library support. Everyone in Winters will be able to benefit from the doors to opportunities we’ll be able to open with these gifts.

I urge you all to visit our library and the WFoL website (http://www.wfol.org) today to find out what programs and resources are available and coming to you soon.
