By Germaine Hupe Winters Theater Company William Shakespeare’s comedy-drama, “All’s Well That Ends Well,” opens its four performance run this Friday evening, August 3, at 8:00 p.m. in the amphitheater behind the Winters Community Center. The current production marks the 18th year the Winters Theatre Company has presented Shakespeare Under the Stars, a popular form of summer entertainment. “All’s Well” offers something for everyone in its plot and characterizations. There is high comedy in the antics of Parolles, a braggart soldier and would-be hero; there is romance as the leading character of Helena strives to win the love of a reluctant husband; there is intrigue as several characters plot to gain their own ends; and finally, there is high drama as these elements come together in an emotional climax before the required happy ending. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket, pack a picnic supper or snacks and join the members of the Winters Theatre Company for a pleasant evening of theater under the stars. Refreshments will also be available for sale. Tickets are $5 for adults, and children 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult. Tickets are only available at the door; cash and checks accepted, no credit cards. There isn’t any online ticket purchasing available for this show.
