Cars, drivers, entries needed

Support Local Journalism

It’s crunch time for the 82nd Winters Youth Day Parade. The deadline is coming up quickly on April 15, yet only 30 entries have been received. The majority of entries that we know will be in the parade have not yet been turned in by local groups and individuals. Our new parade chairman has implemented an online registration for the parade, which after two years, apparently hasn’t caught on yet.

To enter the parade before the April 15 deadline go to Entries received after that date may still participate but will be ineligible for awards.

We are also in need of cars to carry our youth dignitaries and volunteers to monitor the parade route. To help or donate a car and driver to use, contact Parade Chairman Bob Williams at 795-2211.

Remember, your taxes are due and so is your parade entry. See you at the parade.
