local soccer star Claudio Reyes, raising enough cash to send him to an invitational tryout in England. Kim Olivas, a school librarian who launched a GoFundMe page to collect funds for the trip, said enough money was raised to send Reyes and his younger brother Kevin to the combine in August. “I am so proud of our community for the help and encouragement,” Olivas said in an e-mail to the Express. “A huge thank you to all who donated and shared.” Reyes and his brother will be showcasing their skills in front of coaches from a number of different international clubs. If all goes well, one or both of them could walk away with an offer to play professional soccer. Reyes is the former captain of the Winters High School soccer team who graduated last year. He also played competitively for the Davis Legacy Soccer Club and a local chapter of the American Youth Soccer Organization.]]>
