Closures planned on I-80 near Fairfield

SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform mandatory bridge inspections on Interstate-80 (I-80) in Fairfield on Thursday, Jan. 11.

The inspections of multiple overcrossings above I-80 are part of Caltrans’ regular preventive maintenance schedule.

Eastbound and Westbound I-80 lane closures

To ensure worker and public safety, motorists are advised that two of the four to five traffic lanes on eastbound I-80 between Interstate-680 (I-680) and Travis Boulevard will be closed starting at 9 a.m. until approximately 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11.

During that same day, two of the four to five traffic lanes on westbound I-80 between I-680 and Travis Boulevard will also be closed from 10-11 a.m.

The California Highway Patrol will help direct motorists. Motorists are advised to allow for extra time and expect delays.
