Each year, more than 350,000 people have an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, often at home where loved ones have a chance to provide aid. On Thursday, Feb. 8, Dignity Health Medical Foundation in Davis in partnership with Dignity Health Heart and Vascular Institute of Greater Sacramento is hosting a free public heart health event.

The event will be held at El Macero Country Club, 44571 Clubhouse Drive in Davis, from 6-8 p.m. Doctors and cardiac experts will offer tips to keep attendees heart healthy.

Hands-only CPR demonstrations will also be given and healthy refreshments will be served. Presenters will include Kathy Glatter, M.D., a specialist in cardiology and electrophysiology; Sarada Mylavarapu, M.D., a specialist in cardiac anesthesiology; and Christopher Swales, M.D., a specialist in family medicine.
