The event–titled the Tri-County Freedom Ball– will showcase seven top Republican candidates running for state and national office with election day set for Tuesday, Nov. 6. It is Yolo County Republicans’ annual fundraiser allowing the organization to underwrite its candidate support and get out the vote activities. Also appearing at the event will be Mark Meuser running for Secretary of State. He is a native Californian and a small business owner, committed to fighting for honest and fair elections. As in the primary, during this campaign he is currently bike riding the state, visiting all 58 counties and holding around 100 rallies. Steven Bailey competing for Attorney General will be on hand as well. He has a background in criminal law, has served more than a dozen years as judge, and has as his goal refocusing the state’s top law enforcement position on reducing crime. Greg Conlon, running for Treasurer, will also be at the fundraiser. He will bring his private sector experience as a CPA and consultant to the state’s Treasurer position, in particular working to exercise fiscal responsibility to fix the State’s vulnerable financial condition. In addition, Konstantinos Roditis, candidate for Controller, will be present. In this position as Controller, he will fight to make California affordable, rather than seeking new ways to tax California residents. Charlie Schaupp will be the Republican candidate representing California’s Third Congressional District and facing off against the current Representative, John Garamendi. Yolo County resident from Esparto, Schaupp is a retired USMC Lieutenant Colonel who currently farms 3500 acres with his siblings. Finally, Lisa Romero, Republican candidate for Assembly District 11, will be appearing at the fundraiser. Master of Ceremonies will be Sam Shane. He has spent more than thirty years as a TV news reporter and anchor in markets including Sacramento, San Francisco and Seattle. The format of the event is a sit down dinner with speakers. The dinner will be catered by Chef Ned of Crepes and More. Entrée options will be prime rib or salmon. There are two individual ticket options.
