Garcia, Paschoal, Tuttle Selected to All League Team

At their end of the year awards ceremony on Monday, May 14, the Winters High School varsity softball team celebrated their successful season and gave recognition to some individual standouts. Alexis Garcia, Payton Paschoal and Makynsie Tuttle all were selected to the Sacramento Valley League All League Team. Paschoal also received the Block W Coaches Award. Christi Woods earned the Block W Senior Scholar Athlete Award and Alexia Larsen received the Most Improved Player Award. 

The Warriors finished the season with a team batting average of .381, totaled 125 runs, 221 hits, 82 RBI, 43 doubles, 14 triples, five homeruns and a grand slam. Garcia led the team with a .538 average, had 24 runs scored, 18 RBI, 10 doubles, five home runs and a grand slam. Garcia also had 20 stolen bases and struck out 130 batters while taking most of the pitching duties for the team. Tuttle batted .488 with 14 runs scored, 10 RBI, five doubles, a triple and had 16 stolen bases. Paschoal had a batting average of .438, scored 22 runs, had eight RBI, six doubles, nine triples and 29 stolen bases. Woods batted .264 with eight runs scored, four RBI, two doubles and was nine for nine on stolen bases. Larsen batted .226, with two runs scored with two RBI and two stolen bases.
