Winters High School hosted a Wrestling duals match on Wednesday, for a Sacramento Valley League. The schools that attended were Esparto and East Nicholas. This being their only home match Coach Andy Gomez honored his senior on the team, Kendrick Bochard. Each of the Winters wrestlers had one match. Valeria Ceja competed in the 145 weight class and won her match with a pin. Kendrick Borchard and Brandon Gomez wrestled in one match in the 152 weight class and went 1-0. Dillan Adams competed in the 195 weight class, losing his match to a pin and Alaina Corliss moved up a weight class to avoid forfeits. Corliss fought hard and held her own but eventually lost to a pin in the second round. On Saturday the boys wrestling team will travel to the Lou Encalada meet, and the girls wrestling team will be going to the Eagles Invite.]]>
