JV softball suffers losses to Sutter

It was a tough day for the WHS JV softball team on Tuesday, April 3, when they hosted Sutter in a double header and lost both games. Winters kept the score close in game one for the first two innings trailing just 3-2 but gave up six runs in the third as the Huskies won 9-4.

Xiomara Guzman-Haro led the team batting 2 for 2 with an RBI. Madison Duarte scored a run. Desiree Gaona batted 1 for 3 with an RBI. Lilyana Driver went 1 for 2. Maggie McCrary also batted 1 for 2, while Elina Perez went 1 for 1 with three runs scored. Game two was a little tougher as they lost 12-2 in a five-inning game. Amaya Jimenez batted 1 for 3 with an RBI. Rose Kakutani batted 1 for 2. Guzman-Haro and Emily Hoag each scored a run. Stephany Alvarado batted 1 for 2. Duarte and Gaona both went 1 for 2 and McCrary batted 1 for 3.
