The Winters High School JV baseball team lost both games of a double header on Tuesday, April 3, to the visiting Sutter Huskies in non-league action. The Warriors started the day with an 18-7 loss.

“It was a weak game,” said coach Manny Garcia. “We had no energy.”

At the plate, Carson Lowire batted 2 for 3 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored. Cooper Andrez batted 2 for 3 with a run scored. Tony Garcia went 1 for 2 with a run scored, while Andrew Del Rio, Ryan Stone, Jason Drummond and Hunter Godden each scored a run.

In game two, things got even worse for the Warriors as they lost 14-0 to the Huskies.

“We did not execute,” coach Garcia said. “It’s like we forgot how the game is played.”

Joe Mariani and Garcia each batted 1 for 1 for the Warriors.
