The Clayground will host an opening reception for April 2018 Gallery Artist Mary Neri King on Saturday, April 7, from 6-8 pm. There will be live music and refreshments will be served. The reception is free and open to the public.

“California Wondering” is a collection of acrylic and mixed media works that include landscapes, still life’s, and collages that represent Mary’s love of nature. Mary’s recently acquired love of painting “en Plein Air” has elevated her work by allowing her to express her passion of the convergence of art and nature. Her brush strokes are swifter, and she uses more vibrant colors which interact to shape the creative outcome.

Mary was born into a home that centered around music, fine art, and creative expression in Connecticut, but for the last 32 years, she has lived and raised her children in Winters, CA. Mary’s art is a tapestry woven of these experiences.

“California Wondering” will be at The Clayground Gallery for the entire month of April and can be seen during regular business hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
