American Book Fest has announced the winners of the 2018 American Fiction Awards on July 28, 2018, including local author Tamsen Schultz for her novel “A Darkness Black” in the Mystery Suspense category.

Set in a great house in the shadow of Mount Washington, New Hampshire, “A Darkness Black” follows off-duty operative Caleb Forrester as he tries to prevent a murder he knows will happen unless he can identify both the intended victim and the potential killer in time.

Jeffrey Keen, President & CEO of American Book Fest says “The 2018 results represent a phenomenal mix of books from a wide array of publishers throughout the United States.” Keen adds that the success of the awards “…begins with the enthusiastic participation of authors and publishers and continues with our distinguished panel of industry judges who bring to the table their extensive editorial, PR, marketing, and design expertise.”

American Book Fest is an online publication providing coverage for books from mainstream and independent publishers to the world online community and has an active social media presence with over 97,000 current Facebook fans.
