May 21 is last day to register to vote

The last day to register to vote for the Statewide Direct Primary Election is May 21. To qualify to register to vote in Yolo County, a voter must be 18 years of age on Election Day; be a resident of Yolo County for at least 15 days before the election, be a citizen of the United States and submit a properly completed Affidavit of Registration to the County Clerk-Elections Department no later than May 21.

Conditional Voter Registration extends this deadline, allowing voters to register and vote 14 days prior to an election through Election Day. Voters would be able to update their address, change their political party, and receive and vote a ballot. Conditional Voter Registration is available only at the Yolo County Elections Office located at 625 Court Street, B-05, in Woodland.
