Middle School Track Team Brings the Heat

The Winters Middle School Track Team was on fire this year.  Of the 32 athletes on the team 29 placed in the top eight during competitions.  Two athletes placed first place coming home with two medals and the rest were ribbons.

Girls Competitors
Anahi Gutierrez, Paris Zaragoza, Samantha Ramirez and Adriana Arias placed 6th in 4×1 1:00.89.  Ava Skinner 2nd Triple Jump 24’5.5, 4th 800m 2:59.94 and 7th mile 6:37.80.  Zaragoza 6th Long Jump 11’7.  Nicole Williams 8th Long Jump 11’4 and 8th 70m hurdles 12.59.  Gutierrez 1st mile 6:12.78, 2nd 200m 30.19 and 5th 100m 14.55.  Mia Tretjakov 5th 800m 2:59.76 and 5th 400m 1:20.89.  Ramirez 8th mile 6:45.28.

Boys Competitors
Christian Hernandez, Savio Robinson, Miguel Reyes and John Lopez placed 2nd in 4×1 53.21.  Hernandez 2nd mile 5:28.06, 2nd 800m 2:26.31 and 4th Long jump 14’3.  Reyes 4th 400m 1:03.71. Lopez 6th 400m 1:06.51. Robinson 1st 200m 27.71 and 2nd 100m 13.14.  Lopez 7th 100m 13.77.  Salvador Torres 6th 200m 30.63 and 8th 100m 13.96.  Ethan Demment 6th Shot put 25’7.  Easton Rivera 7th Long jump 14’11.5
