Pink Speaker Series continues in January

The Open Door educational program, Pink Speaker Series, sponsored by the local nonprofit Breast Cancer organization Thriving Pink will be held Monday, Jan. 14, at 7 p.m. Dr. A. “Sandy” Borowsky will speak on: “How a Pathologist can assist in breast cancer?” Dr. Borowsky is a professor of pathology at the Comprehensive Cancer Center at the UC Medical School and also is at the Center for Comparative Medicine. He will answer the question, “Is there a roll a pathologist can play in use for animal (mouse) models?” The program will be held at University Covenant Church, 315 Mace Blvd., corner of Mace and Alhambra Boulevards, Davis. Call 530-304-2746 for more detailed information. Each month these meetings provide information on some aspect of breast cancer or women’s health.  Breast cancer does not discriminate. The meetings are not limited to breast cancer survivors, but are open and free of charge to anyone who is interested in learning more about women’s health issues.]]>
