Quilters invited to Jelly Roll Race

Support Local Journalism

Quilters are invited to the Jelly Roll Race, sponsored by Project Linus of Yolo County and Flying Needles Quilt Guild of Yolo County, on Tuesday, April 17, 1-4 p.m.

The race involves using a Jelly Roll, which is a roll of fabric strips that we will supply. Participants sew the strips together to make a quilt top.

Teams of two people with one sewing machine will make quilt tops for Project Linus. You can recruit your own team member or we will match you up with someone that day. New sewers can work with experienced sewers. The only skill needed is the ability to sew a quarter inch seam.

Prizes and a good time are planned. Space is limited.
