Steady Eddy’s announces 2nd annual coffee festival

Please join the community on March 24 from 12-5 p.m. by the Rotary Park gazebo across Main Street from Steady Eddy’s.

Local vendors will be present to provide attendees with a taste of Winters. This festival is family friendly.

There will be a kid’s zone where children of all ages can learn about all things coffee through art & crafts. Musicians from Steady Eddy’s Open Mic nights will be performing throughout the day.

“Downtown Winters is known for our local food and beverage industry and friendly community vibe,” says Owner Carla Wroten, Steady Eddy’s Coffee House, “We are trying to create a festival that centers around “Coffee and Community!”

Local businesses that are supporting the event as presenting sponsorships include Steady Eddy’s Coffee House, Buckhorn BBQ Truck, Mister Sign, Cal INC. and Made in the Shade tent rentals.

Additional participating sponsors include El Pueblo, Turkovich Family Wines, Minds in Motion Dance Studio, Primos’s Barbershop, The Winters Chamber, Sudwerk Brewery, R&V Screen Print, and Winters Healthcare are all proud sponsors of the event.

This year the festival will highlight and benefit Winters education. Coffee Fest will donate 100 percent of beer sales to the Winters Education Foundation.

Their mission is “Raising money within our community to subsidize our schools in response to the needs of all our children.”

Winters Education Foundation is honored to recognize the current board: Kurt Balasek – President, Jill Aguiar; Secretary, Erin Means-Reynoso; Treasurer, Russ Lester; Don Palm, Dan Maguire, Mary Jo Rodolfa, Andrew Skinner.

Steady Eddy’s is owned and operated by Jamell and Carla Wroten. The Wrotens have been in the food industry/events for over 30 years together collectively.

Currently they operate the destination coffee shop in the small historic town of Winters with Jamell in the role of Master Roaster while Carla heads up the marketing, branding and community outreach.

Day to day operations are covered by Capri Rivas, General Manager, who has been with Steady Eddy’s for 10 years.
