Students in Winters High School’s Art Club create giant chalkboards for the “Before I Die” project, a public art project that will be unveiled at 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8 at Railroad Avenue and East Main Street in downtown Winters. Yolo Hospice plans a brief ceremony for the unveiling, along with the wall’s sponsor, Winters Healthcare, and community partners, the Winters Participation Gallery and the Winters Elder Care Council. Anyone passing by the outdoor wall will be invited to use chalk to complete the sentence “Before I Die, I want to …” The project’s purpose is to stimulate thought and discussion about what is meaningful in life as well as death. 1. The article references “Winters Elder Care Council”. As the organization’s Executive Director, its important to correct an error. The community organization’s name is: “Winters Elder Day Council”. Thank you.
