Support for advance care planning to be discussed

Yolo Hospice, Dignity Health and the Davis Community Church have partnered to help the community consider their end-of-life wishes. A crucial part of good planning is putting your wishes into writing in an official Advance Care Directive.  This can be a challenging task on an intellectual and emotional level.

This was the inspiration behind starting a monthly Advance Care Directive Workshop at Davis Community Church, for people to learn more and receive support towards putting their wishes in writing. Organized by Yolo Hospice, the class is taught by Jeffrey Yee, MD and Joanne Hatchett, NP of Dignity Health.

Classes have been held monthly since the beginning of 2017, on the first Tuesday of each month.  They are free for anyone who wishes to attend.  The next class will be held on Tuesday, April 3, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in Davis Community Church’s Fireside Room, 412 C Street in Davis.
