The Winters High School varsity girls softball team scored just three runs in their away game against Woodland Christian on Monday, March 26. The Warriors scored two in the third and one more in the fifth inning but couldn’t keep up with the Cardinals losing 13-3.

At the plate, Jocelyn McMillan led Winters batting 2 for 2 with a double and two RBI. Brooke Benson batted 2 for 3 with two runs scored. Christy Woods and AliAnn Iten each went 1 for 2. Eli Moore and Payton Paschoal each went 1 for 3 and Alexia Larsen batted 1 for 2 with a run scored.

On Tuesday, March 27, the Warriors hosted East Nicolaus and lost 15-0 to the Spartans. McMillan, Benson, Moore and Marin Spalding all batted 1 for 2 for Winters.

Winters will compete in the Vacaville Christian Tournament this week and will return home to host Colusa on April 10, in their league opener.
