Winters not only competed they placed 14th overall out of all the high schools and were third in Northern Section schools behind only Chico and Durham.

Vanessa Ceja placed second, Eli Moore placed sixth and Valeria Ceja was eighth. All three wrestlers will advance to the Sac Joaquin Section Masters at McNair High School on Feb. 23-24. “These young ladies left it out on the mat,” said assistant coach Fernando Goncalves. “The passion and desire they all showed was outstanding.”
