The Winters High School boys soccer team won their first Sacramento Valley League game last week when they defeated Pierce High School. The Warriors hosted the Bears on Thursday, Feb. 1, and pulled off a 2-1 victory. The Warriors scored their first goal in the first half to take a 1-0 lead at the half and then both teams scored a goal in the second half.
The Warriors first game of the week was on Tuesday, Jan. 30, against visiting Colusa where the scoring was the opposite of game two. Colusa scored one goal in each half, while the Warriors put one in the net in the second half for a 2-1 loss to the RedHawks. No stats were available at press time.
