Warriors top St. Helena 8-4, JV wins 15-5

In their only game of the week, the Winters High School varsity softball team played host to St. Helena on Wednesday, March 14.

The Warriors pulled off an 8-4 victory over the Saints.

Winters totaled 10 hits from seven players and totaled six RBI.

Payton Paschoal had the hot bat as she led the Warriors at the plate. Paschoal batted 3 for 4 with a triple, a double, two runs scored and an RBI.

Brooke Benson batted 2 for 4 with a double, a run scored and two RBI.

AliAnn Iten batted 1 for 3 with a run scored.

Jocelyn McMillan batted 1 for 3 with a double, a run scored and an RBI. Eli Moore batted 1 for 3 with an RBI.

Makynsie Tuttle went 1 for 3.

Alexis Garcia batted 1 for 3 with two runs scored and an RBI and Camryn Hamilton scored a run.

JV team

t was a dominating performance by the Winters High School JV softball team as they took on St. Helena in their only game of the week.

The Warriors hosted the Saints on Wednesday, March 14, at Shirley Rominger School and earned a 15-5 non-league victory.

Rose Kakutani batted 1 for 4 with three runs scored and pitched four scoreless innings for the Warriors.

Maggie McCrary went 2 for 4 with a double.

Elina Perez had two hits as well.
