It was a good finish with a solid performance for the Winters High School varsity boys basketball team. On Friday, Feb. 2, Winters traveled to Willows for a Sacramento Valley League game and pulled off a 63-49 victory over the Honkers.

Winters led from start to finish outscoring Willows 16-9 in the first, led 29-19 at the half, maintained a 47-38 lead at the end of the third and then held that lead and continued to battle for the win.

The first game of the week didn’t go as well for the Warriors as they fell to a 68-17 loss to Colusa.

Winters traveled to Colusa on Tuesday, Jan. 30, and struggled to get any kind of offensive momentum going while having tough time defensively trying to stop the RedHawks from scoring.
