Former Winters resident Bianca Cox is a satisfied customer at the Winters Friends of the Library fruit tree sale a couple of years ago.   This year the tree sale is Saturday, March 2 at the parking lot at Railroad Street and Edwards in downtown Winters.  It starts at 9 a.m. but WFoL members can enter at 8:30 a.m. There will be a membership table at the entrance so if your membership has lapsed, you can join on the spot.

Featured this year are bare-root fruit and nut trees which have been donated by Sierra Gold in Yuba City and are $10.00 each.  A detailed list of available trees is posted on the WFoL website (

Proceeds will be used to benefit programs and to expand the collections at the community library.
