By Greg Moffitt Winters Elementary School Principal This year at Winters Elementary, staff and students are focused on celebrating individuals that are doing great things at school. Each day the administration makes one positive phone call home to share good news with family members and posts a photo on Facebook using the hashtag #WESGoodNewsCalloftheDay! The concept is credited to Mark French, the principal of Gatewood Elementary School in Golden Valley, Minn. who shared the idea on social media with school leaders from across the country. The idea has quickly spread. By celebrating the positive, Winters Elementary is strengthening a culture of hard work and kindness at the school. Already, staff at Winters Elementary have noticed a difference as students are starting to recognize each other for the great things they are doing.]]>
