The Winters Senior Foundation (WSF) will hold its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, April 11, at 2 p.m. in the Public Safety Facility training room. The guest speaker this month will be Tom Crisp, retired Winters High School teacher and coach. His topic will be the history of the town of Buckeye. Tom will also bring a few copies of his book, “The People of Buckeye and Early Winters,” to sell with the profits going to the WSF.

The WSF will give an update on our ride program for medical appointments as well as a proposal by the City of Winters for a regular shopping trip to Vacaville Wal-Mart on the city bus. Drivers are needed for both programs as well as dispatchers, which may be perfect for seniors who would like to be more involved in our community. The bus drivers need a class B driver’s license.

The annual trip to a River Cats is scheduled for Monday, May 21, 7:05 p.m. game. The cost will be approximately $28 and rides are available. Call Karen May, 530-794-6108, for more information and to make reservations.

All Winters seniors are invited to join the WSF for an afternoon of a little learning, a little visiting and a lot of fun.
