  • Sunday, April 15, question and answer. Stop by the Mary L. Stephens Davis Library, Children’s Area Conference Room, for a free question and answer session from 2-4 pm with the UCCE Master Gardeners of Yolo County.  There will be two mini-presentations with time for questions.  The topic presented at 2:15 pm is, “What to Seed Directly in the Garden”.  The topic starting at 3:15 pm is, “How to Select Seeds and Transplant the Seedlings.”  The library is located at 315 E. 14th Street, Davis.
  • Sunday, April 22, year-round gardening, 2-4 p.m. at the Mary L. Stephens Library, Children’s area in the conference room, UCCE Master Gardeners of Yolo County will present information covering a variety of topics.  Helpful hints will be discussed for planting and caring for fruit trees, thinning stone fruit, harvesting artichokes, and vermiculture.
  • Saturday, April 28, two free workshops at Davis Central Park Gardens; 9:30–10:30 a.m., join UCCE Master Gardeners of Yolo County at Central Park Gardens, located at the corner of Third and B Street, Davis, to learn how to adapt an existing irrigation system to create drip irrigation.  You will also learn how to calculate the appropriate amount of water for your system. A second workshop will be held from 11 a.m. to noon in the same location.  UCCE Master Gardeners will discuss simple methods for removal of lawns, and provide you with step-by-step instructions.
