A.J. Pignataro, a junior on the Winters High School varsity basketball team, is the Pisani’s Athlete of the Week. On both offense and defense, Pignataro often provides the edge the Warriors need to rack up wins. “AJ plays hard on both ends of the court. He’s a fantastic defender who can shut down guards and provide support for his teammates,” praised head coach Brendan McShea. “He’s also a selfless player on offense. He cuts, passes and scores at the rim or from outside. No matter what the team needs, AJ provides it with energy and heart.”
