Jewelee’ah Garcia, a senior on the Winters High School women’s soccer team, is the Pisani’s Athlete of the Week. Head coach Kim Olivas said Garcia has made big efforts on improving upon her skills on the soccer field the last few years and has seen vast improvement in her play. Garcia listens well to coaching points and has gotten creative in her play techniques out on the field. “Her biggest impact comes off the field,” Olivas said. “She has stepped up to mentor the younger players and helps them feel more confident in their spot on the team. She is welcoming and makes everyone feel more comfortable. We are looking forward to Jewelee’ah seeing much more playing time this season.”
