The Winters Senior Foundation board hosted 50 enthusiastic participants at its Ice Cream Social, on Wednesday, June 13. Coordinated by Elizabeth Ehnat, those attending made their own banana splits, choosing from five flavors of ice cream, fresh strawberries, divine chocolate syrup, fresh bananas, Winters-grown walnuts, gorgeous cherries, heavenly whipped cream and sprinkles galore! But before diving into the ice cream, Linda and Jack Lynn, founders of the 3R Rescue Project, shared their mission to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home animals in need. Bringing four of their adorable pooches to share, Linda gave a fantastic presentation on 3R’s purpose and accomplishments. It was another great event with the Winters Senior Foundation.
