Vitalant in partnership with the Winters Lions Club will host a blood drive on Nov. 8 from 1–5 p.m. in the Winters Community Center, 201 Railroad Ave., to honor the memory of Adam Davis.

Davis was a beloved member of the Winters community and when asked why this tradition was so important Jacqueline, Davis’ wife said, “We wanted to do this blood drive in memory of Adam who left us far too soon. During Adam’s stay in the hospital, he was the recipient of many whole blood and platelet transfusions. We are so grateful for the generosity of our community which made those transfusions possible. He would want us to give back, and this blood drive gives us the opportunity to do that as we remember him.”

Join this family in honoring Davis while providing much-needed blood products that patients need. The blood supply is critically low and Vitalant asks all eligible donors to make time to donate at this time. For every unit of whole blood collected, up to three lives can be transformed.

To make an appointment, contact Vitalant at 877-258-4825 and mention blood drive code SMFM164 to show your support.
