The Hispanic Advisory Committee and Winters Cemetery District will host a Dia De Los Muertos celebration and face painting contest on Saturday, Nov 2 at the Winters Cemetery from 4-6 p.m. Participants in the contests will be judged as “Best Katrina” and “Best Calavera”. There are $50 prizes for each category.
El Pueblo restaurant will provide Mexican hot chocolate and pan dulce at the celebration, and Hispanic Advisory Committee will provide entertainment.
Bring artful boxed altars, copies of photos of loved ones and pets for our celebration altars.
Due to construction at the cemetery, the Cemetery Lane entrance will be the only open entrance and cars will be directed to park in specific areas.  Parents are asked to keep children away from headstones.
