Little Pioneers Day Care Center is hosting a Diaper Drive for families affected by Hurricane Harvey, after reading about the needs of the families in Houston. They are running desperately low on one crucial item: diapers.  According to the Texas Diaper Bank, diapers are typically not provided by disaster relief agencies.

“As a child care center that cares for infants and young children, Little Pioneers Day Care Center is intimately familiar with the need for diapers,” says Fawn Montagna, Little Pioneers Center director.

  • The Texas Diaper Bank is in need of the following items:
  • Infant diapers, all sizes
  • Toddler pull-ups, all sizes
  • Adult incontinence supplies — high need for these items
  • Wipes

Little Pioneers has collection boxes outside the center, located at 205 Russell Street for anyone who may wish to donate during their operating hours of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. All donations will be shipped to the Texas Diaper Bank on Wednesday, Sept. 16, and Little Pioneers will be covering all shipping costs.

“Please consider donating with Little Pioneers to help families in need,” says Montagna.
