Are you eager to get outside? Join Lake Solano Docent Carla Murphy for back-to-back interpretive programs – including a stargazing program and evening canoe tour – at the Docent-in-Residence Weekend June 22 – 24.

Lake Solano Park offers cool water to beat the heat, quiet clearings for stargazing, and shady trails to explore during the summer solstice weekend. On Docent-in-Residence Weekends, a volunteer Docent offers programs Friday through Sunday to help visitors explore this resource in different ways – and hopefully learn some new things as well.

June 22: Stargazing Program, 9:00 PM
June 23: Nature & History Walk, 10:00 AM; Evening Canoe Tour, 5:15 PM
June 24: Roving Docents Cart, 11:00 AM

All of the Docent-in-Residence Weekend programs are free. To register for the canoe tour, and for more information, visit www.putahcreekcouncil.org or call the Putah Creek Council office at 530-795-3006. Campsite reservations can be made by visiting parkreservations.solanocounty.com, or calling the Lake Solano Nature Center at 530-795-2990.

Parking at Lake Solano Park is only $6 per vehicle, payable at the day use entrance to the Park, across the street from the Nature Center.

Call Karin Young at Putah Creek Council with questions at 530-795-3006.
