On Sunday, a special family yoga event is giving families time to find zen together, and will help support the Winters Parent Nursery School preschool program.

WPNS and Kimberly Unger Healing Arts are hosting the Mother’s Day Family Yoga fundraiser on Sunday, May 1 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Winters City Park. All proceeds from the tickets will go toward supporting operations and special programming for students at WPNS.

“It’s a fun way to get the family together with outdoor movement and play,” said Kimberly Unger, owners of Kimberly Unger Healing Arts and a WPNS board member. “Family yoga is lighthearted and a good way to introduce mindfulness and breath to your little ones, while supporting a good cause.”

Two types of tickets are available: a single admission ticket is $22, and a family tickets (for up to six people) is $55. Registration is now open online at

Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket, towels or yoga mats – as the yoga session will happen on the park lawn. Attendees can also bring a picnic to share afterwards with their friends or family members.

There will be an opportunity to browse through crystal jewelry from Kimberly Unger Healing Arts to find a gifts for the upcoming Mother’s Day holiday.
