On Friday at 4 p.m. the Winters Performing Arts Camp will be in action, holding their first performance.
Parents, teachers, teen volunteers and many community members have been supporting the camp’s 21 students. Campers have learned to work together, memorize lines, follow cues, design and build sets in their rendition of “The Spiffiest Giant in Town.”
The first fruits of their labor are offered to all, in a public performance at the Waggoner School Cafeteria at 500 Edwards St., on Friday, June 21 at 4 p.m.
Session II of the camp starts Monday, June 24 through July 3 for ages 5-17.
A Baby and Me Music Camp starts July 1 through 3 from 10-11 a.m. and/or 11 a.m.-12 p.m. for ages 2-4.
Applications are available at Waggoner Elementary School and at City Hall.
