A workday is planned on Saturday, Nov. 4, at 8 a.m. at Walnut Park, located on Dutton Street.

The goal for the day will be to frame 36 10×10 garden plots. Volunteers are asked to bring power drills, hammers, sledge hammers and shovels.

In addition to construction, information will be available for those interested in having a garden plot on how to sign up and garden rules and regulations.

The garden will provide easy access for residents of the Orchard Village Apartments, Almondwood Apartments and the surrounding area. When finished, the garden will also have six fruit-bearing trees that will be accessible to local gardeners.

Additional parking is available on Walnut Lane
