Homecoming festivities planned

Winters High School’s Homecoming Week takes place Sept. 24-29. Planned festivities include:

~  Spirit days: Funky Monkey Monday (Safari/Tourist), Jack and Jill Twin Tuesday (Twin Day), Class Color Day Wednesday, E-I-E-I-O Thursday (Country Themed or Animals), and Red and White Friday

~  Powderpuff game, Wednesday, Sept. 27, 6:45 p.m., Dr. Sellers Field; general admission, $3; students, $1

~  Downtown rally, Friday, Sept. 29, 11:45 a.m., intersection of Main and First Streets

~  Homecoming game, Friday, Sept. 29., JV game at 5:30 p.m., varsity at 7:30 p.m.; Homecoming parade during halftime of the varsity game.

Volunteer drivers are needed to drive the Homecoming king and queen candidates in convertibles for the downtown rally and Homecoming game. To volunteer, contact Alexis Garcia, alexiskgarcia4@gmail.com.

Andersen signs Letter of Intent

After his successful season, 2015 Winters grad TJ Andersen was offered a scholarship to come back to Northern California and play basketball for Notre Dame De Namur in Belmont, California. NDNU is a Division 2 program that competes in the PAC West Conference.
